Company History
The Past
Thomas Todd formed Toddco General, Inc in 1980 as a custom machine builder. The company was soon contracted with TRW to develop manufacturing equipment for the military avionics industry.
From that initial development effort, Toddco has gone on to develop a broad line of pulsed heat soldering equipment, TAB Bonders, and custom manufacturing systems where control of temperature, pressure, and precise positioning are critical.
In 1999, Toddco sold its unique computer controlled, ceramic hotbar designs and other assets to Palomar Technologies to form MicroJoin, Inc. MicroJoin, Inc. continued the tradition of developing innovative products for ACF bonding, reflow soldering, and resistance welding.
The present
With the purchase of MicroJoin, Inc. by Unitek Miyachi in 2002, Toddco partnered with Avio Co. and continues to provide resistance spot welding equipment and innovative engineering and custom manufacturing solutions for pulsed heat soldering, TAB bonding and heat seal applications.
As a rapidly growing manufacturer of electronic assembly and repair equipment, Toddco specializes in:
