Laser Profiling System for Micron-Level Measurements

The EMD102 is a versatile, fully integrated laser profiler inspection system. Utilizing a Keyence laser triangulation displacement sensor, the EMD102 is capable of taking micron-level measurements for quality assurance. Along with these systems, the EMD102 also utilizes an integrated labeling system for part identification.

Originally engineered to measure the gap of air between translucent glass monolayer assemblies, the EMD102 can be fully customized for other applications, making it a powerful tool for quality control in any production environment.

EMD102 Key Features & Capabilities

Custom HMI
The HMI features customizable programming to allow for process configuration and operation, including user instructions, recipe creation for actuator speed, part positioning, method of result output, and whether or not labels should be printed.
X-Y Motorized Stage
The X-Y motorized stage includes a custom fixture for transporting parts and has repeatability to within ±0.02 mm and lost motion to within ±0.01 mm.
Labeling System for Part Identification
The EMD102 uses a custom HMI to configure labels.

How accurate and repeatable is the EMD102?

The EMD102 uses a Keyence sensor with a linearity to within ±0.05% of full scale (F.S.= 1 mm [0.04″]) and repeatability to within ±0.001 µm. The X-Y motorized stage has a repeatability to within ±0.02 mm and lost motion to within ±0.01 mm.
