Reserved solely for leading integration partners, the conference was held from April 15-18 and showcased Kuka’s new innovative technologies and ideas.
One of the most notable innovations from the conference was the iiQKA Operating System. Neil Mead, Head of Regional Marketing at Kuka, explains that the operating system “can create a complete simulation of their existing setup, then introduce the robot, the automation, and any other necessary hardware.” Using the digital twinning process, the iiQKA creates a digital replica of a company’s machinery and work area, which updates the digital version of the machinery as the real version of the machinery is changed. With this new technology, any company looking to automate a process within its industry is able to easily visualize how the new automotive technology would work in its own work setting, allowing for more feedback and quicker development time.
